DOT-certified flush-mount glass for the 1966–1967 Chevelle hardtop, engineered in Phoenix and built to fit without sanding
Fesler USA is shipping a complete flush-mount glass kit for the 1966–1967 Chevrolet Chevelle 2-door hardtop, covering both the front windshield and rear glass. The kit is DOT-certified, trimless, rubberless, and manufactured in North America without the oversized blanks that force shops to sand for fit.
How this kit is built and why it fits
Fesler prototypes, molds, and test-fits before manufacturing, then test-fits again. The front windshield is DOT-certified laminated glass. The rear is tempered. Both carry a correct OE green hue and block 99.9% UVA. The glass is produced with Pilkington-heritage float-glass lineage and OE-style LOF molds, so edge geometry matches the factory aperture.
Installation uses a FRIT band, primer, and automotive urethane bonding system. No exterior molding or rubber weatherstrip. The bonded perimeter is the finished edge. Fesler specifies urethane only, not butyl tape. Butyl holds roughly 60 psi. A proper urethane system holds 600 psi or more. There is no comparison, and the difference matters when the glass is structural.

What it means for your build
This kit is built for A-body hardtop builds that are done right: smooth bodywork, custom paint, no trim gaps, no rubber strips breaking up the line. The glass seats in the OE opening on a correctly prepared shell without modification. Fesler also makes door panels, kick panels, center console, and package tray panels for the 1966–1967 Chevelle, all designed to work together.
"We built this glass to fit the car, not the other way around. If your body is straight, this glass drops in. That is the whole point." -- Chris Fesler
